At Sydney Allied Health, we’ve been helping people since 2003. Over the years, we’ve been privileged to help numerous people find the results they’ve been looking for. There are many different conditions our patients come to us to get help with.
One is arthritis, which is a wear and tear condition. The affected joint loses its motion, which can result in serious pain for arthritis sufferers.
There are many things that can speed up the development of arthritis. These include
If you have any of the above, you may have an increased risk of developing arthritis, or of worsening your arthritis if you’ve already been diagnosed with it.
It can be difficult to try to fit healthcare visits into your day. With work and family demands, it seems there’s no time left over! We want to make it simple for you to get in for your appointments. We are open on Saturdays and Sundays. Plus, there are late opening hours available so you can see us after your workday is over.
When you have arthritis, it’s important that you receive care and advice to get you moving in the right direction. If you have a limited range of motion, we provide passive manipulative therapy. From that point, we will build on each treatment, moving you further towards optimal health.
Complementary activities will be a part of your care, such as exercises and stretches to facilitate long-lasting results that keep your joints in good health.
Once you’re feeling better, you can choose if you’d like to continue with maintenance chiropractic care. Coupled with exercise and proper nutrition, it may be all you need to stay well.
Reduced inflammation throughout the body caused by arthritis
Reduced pain across affected areas
Improved ability to move and better joint flexibility
While everyone experiences arthritis differently and to different degrees, the common symptoms include:
The most common types of arthritis are inflammatory arthritis caused by an autoimmune disorder and osteoarthritis caused by the wearing down of the cartilage in joints, which causes inflammation and pain.
We use various techniques to help our clients to gently manipulate your soft tissue to stop muscle aches and relieve tenderness. If appropriate we may use dry needling to stimulate myofascial trigger points.
We also provide you with advice on exercises and stretches you can do at home to help keep your joints in good health.
