Arm Pain Relief- is associated with cervical disc herniation which often compresses nerves in your neck causing pain. Disc herniations in the neck are a common cause of neck and upper back pain. The pain can be felt as either sharp or dull and can extend to the shoulder blades and radiate down to the arm, hands and fingers. Numbness and tingling may also be felt and certain positions and movements can aggravate and intensify pain.
On rare occasions the cervical herniated disc can cause spinal cord compression where disc material pushes on the the spinal cord, these types of conditions require an aggressive treatment plan. Our aim is to advise how to limit the risk of a disc herniation such as limiting tabacco use, lack of exercise, poor posture. All the aforementioned cause the discs to dry out which effect strength and resiliency. At our clinic we adjust (manipulate) fixated areas of the spine that cause added compression to the disc and thus stop the progress of advancing disc degeneration
Combine these factors with the effects from daily wear and tear, injury, incorrect lifting, or twisting, and it is easy to understand why a disc may herniate. A disc herniation may develop suddenly or gradually over weeks or months.
